Wayne’s archive #3
More variations but this time the variations are bottles that all whiskey collectors
covet. They are three Jack Daniel’s Green bottles.
I will start with the oldest, based on the
awarded Gold Medals, or lack thereof,
listed on the label. This bottle is 1/10
pint and contains 90 proof whiskey.
The medals were awarded at the St.
Louis MO. Exposition in 1904, Liege
Belgium 1905, Ghent Belgium 1913,
Anglo American Exposition, London
1914, and the Certificate Of The
Institute Of Hygiene, London 1915. In
addition this bottle has Jack Daniel
Distillery Lem Motloty Prop. Inc. and
Lynchburg, Tenn. embossed on the
back of the bottle.
The next two bottles are the same with
two differences. These bottles are also
1/10 pint, 90 proof and list the same
Gold Medals as the first but have the
addition of the Star Of Excellence,
Brussels 1954. The first difference is that
one bottle has a back label the same as
the first bottle, but without the
embossing. The other bottle has a
smaller Jack Daniel’s label and also an
Eastern Airlines label.
As with so many bottles, these would
make a fine addition to any collection
and certainly do to mine.
