single-masted, slag yachts in the bay. 12-year-old Bunnahabhain, shows us a
former skipper behind a wooden steering wheel.
This presentation would not make sense without one of the most recognized
Scotch whiskies, showing the most beautiful clipper in the world, Cutty Sark. I
decided to show a collection of eight different bottles of this blended whiskey,
with one of the most characteristic labels in the world of alcohol.
Interestingly the brand has changed hands twice in
the last two years. Long owned by London wine
merchants Berry Bros & Rudd, they sold it to
Edrington Group (who own Glenrothes and
Highland Park distilleries and Famous Grouse) in
2018. Who in turn sold it to La Martiniquaise, a
French group who also own Bruggeman (Belgium),
Bardinet (France), Chatel (Reunion), Haller’s (USA)
and First Blending, Glen Moray & Glen Turner in
Scotland. All familiar names to miniature bottle
collectors.
Thank you for your persistence and reaching the end of this article. I hope you didn't get bored
reading so much about ships
With warmest greetings from Poland
