by Hans Moser is a four sided bottle. The sides are
very thin with an indent at the back and a slight
bulge in the front.
We finish our brief trip to Argentina with four other
whiskies. The Aberdeen Angus has a back label
commemorating Sir George MacPherson-Grant who
was born in 1839 and greatly improved the breed in
the latter part of the 19th century.
We move north for a quick trip to Brazil. Old Eight is
a blend of Scottish Malt and Brazilian whisky. The
1965 on the label refers to the year the distillery was
built. In 2001 it was purchased by Italian giants
Campari. It is in good company as Campari also own
Wild Turkey, Old Smuggler and Glen Grant. The Old
Eight refers to the eight year old Scottish Malt that forms the base
of the whisky. It is a pity that with such good contents it comes in
a plastic bottle.
In a future issue we will go to Uruguay, Chile and beyond.
