Bo le Hun"ng Across the U.S.
The Collec"ons
I had not planned on doing any purchasing, I had already bought
some absinthe bo les from Nancy a couple of years ago. When we
contacted her to arrange to come over she told us she would be fix-
ing us dinner and her daughter would be there to help with the
bo les.
We arrived, had a delicious dinner and then went down to the base-
ment. The bo le room (actually rooms) were amazing. Even though
some of the bo les had been sold and so some shelves were partly
empty it was amazing. There are a few “legends” in the bo le col-
lec"ng world and to see the collec"on of one of them was one of the
highlights of this trip. As I was looking through what was le& of the
Absinthes, I realized there were some that I had missed when I pur-
chased from the pictures Nancy had sent. So (as if I hadn’t already
purchased enough bo les on this trip) I started picking out more.
Pete went to work on the vodkas and window bo les, there were
many bo les he had never seen before that he added to his collec-
"on.
When we le& Pete and I agreed, the only thing that would have made
it be er would have to had Jim down there telling us stories about
when and where he got the bo les and probably poin"ng out bo les
that we missed seeing. As a side note the
hula girl in the
picture below is a
Sailor Jerry Rum
ad piece. The liq-
uor store I men-
"oned in the last
ar"cle had called
up Jim to see if he
wanted it when
they were through
with it.
Of Course he said
Yes.
